Julie Gail Gibson Duncan
Julie Gail Gibson Duncan, of Horseshoe Bend, AR, daughter of
the late Charles R. Gibson and Sherry A. Ellis Gibson
Cunningham, was born August 13, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas. She
died April 11, 2012 at her home, at the age of 53 years 7 months
and 29 days.
She was united in marriage to Billy R. Duncan on September 20,
1974 and they enjoyed a wonderful life together for thirty-seven
and a half years. To this union three children were born. She
was an office manager at Gibson Box Co. for many years and she
was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Peace Valley, AR.
Survivors include her husband of the family home; her children,
Travis Duncan and wife Hannah of Horseshoe Bend, Jon “Keith”
Duncan and wife Loretta of Highland, and Charles “Nathan”
Duncan and wife Danielle of Horseshoe Bend; grandchildren,
Bucky Duncan and wife Lily, Katelyn Duncan, Sarah Duncan, Faryl
Duncan, Audrey Duncan, Grace Duncan, and Hunter Duncan;


great-grandchild, Jersey Lynn Duncan; brothers, Greg Cunningham and wife Christine of Evening
Shade, and Chuck A. Gibson and wife Venita of Ashflat; sister, Terry L. Ross and husband Glen of
Conway; her best friend Vickie Foster and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Tammie Owens; brother, Donnie Cunningham; niece,
Kimberly Cunninghan; grandparents, Hubert and Mattie Ellis, and Hanly and Guelda Gibson, and
her father and mother. Pallbearers, Roger Fountain, Ronnie Fountain, Tom Garner, Chuck Foster,
Marty Ross and Wayne Heller. Honorary Pallbearers, John Dobson, David Owens, Vickie Foster,
Danny Jo Branscum and Gail Bailey. Services are Friday, April 13, 2012 at Cox-Blevins Chapel
beginning at 2:00 pm with burial in Agnos Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral
Home of Salem. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cox-Blevins Chapel.
